Quinn Hughes extended his point streak to 11 games and tied teammate Filip Hronek for the longest run by a defenseman this season. Vancouver became the first team in NHL history to have two different defensemen each record a point streak of at least 11 games in the same season.

The Kings became the first team in NHL history to extend an overall, home or road winning streak of nine or more games by staging a three-goal, third-period comeback. Sidney Crosby - 19 straight ppgs+ seasons. Most in NHL history overall, and most from start of career. (Gretzky has 18th seasons over ppg, and a 19th season at exactly ppg).

MacKinnon being the first player in history to have two different 19-game point streaks in the same season might be one of the more under-appreciated records from this past season. Particularly considering some of the prolific point-producers the game has seen. Gretzky to not have done it at least once is surprising.

Everyone points to that 9-2 loss vs. Dallas as the one that turned the Preds' season around, how they missed the concert, etc........but I bet that 3-2 loss in December stung even more.
