Just rewatched and man oh man, what a keep in by Nemec at the line.
Man, that angle on Nemec’s pass was nastyyyyyyy! Great play.
The whole sequence was elite by him. He catches the puck out of the air, drops it down to himself while two Hawks players are coming at him, makes a tape to tape backhand pass between them to Holtz, then jumps into attack to be a passing outlet for Holtz, and makes that great give and go with Holtz for the goal.

I also wonder if they played Vitek last night because he had pretty good numbers against the Blackhawks, including a shutout.

He’s 3-0 against both the Blackhawks and Canucks, but his save percentage against the Canucks is hilariously bad for being 3-0-0. An .865% lol.

We all remember the one game this year and I think we blew a 4-0 lead to them last year, but won in OT in the one game he played them? His one other game against them must have been when he was in Washington still.

Land of Hope & Cups.
Fun fact:

The Canucks mascot was nearly a lumberjack beaver

In 2001, the Canucks decided they needed a mascot, and while Fin the Orca seems like an obvious choice now, he wasn't at the time.

Among the other choices were some truly bizarre concepts, including several different goalie characters and a beaver that looked like Johnny Canuck's animal sidekick.

Still, f*** ‘um.

I hate back to back home games, it's even worse that we don't play again till Thursday. The ice is gonna be even worse than last night too cause Seton Hall is playing at 12pm.
All these back to back home games are selling out. So on the bright side anyone haters that critize our attendance in the past can go shove it! This is a lengthy sellout streak. The Islanders mid week game was like 500 short.

i would think a team that’s employed Matt Cane and Tyler Dellow for this long wouldn’t base decisions on old fashioned stat stuff anymore

Oh yea attendance wise it's been great this year and last season, even all the suites were filled last night which was something more rare in past bad seasons. I just personally don't like going to two games back to back especially with how this schedule has been. Don't even have another home game till the 17th now.

As a season ticket holder I'm just hoping the team doesn't bite the hand that feeds them because while we have been selling out the resale value on the secondary market simply still isn't there for most games compared to what they charge on the tickets.

It might sound crazy but replacing Nico might be harder than replacing Jack despite him being a 100 pointt player. Jack scores a lot of points and is amazing but it feels like when we are missing Nico any little gameplan that Ruff has falters. Nico is what keeps the engine running even if he doesnt score nearly as much.

Despite the sellouts it's an easy ticket for the most part. Besides NYR games. For the Flyers game a few weeks ago. Got a lower bowl seat for $50. Where my partial seat is for much more. Yeah too many back to backs and home back to backs. Another challenge for this season's New Jersey Devils.

Good morning. I remember when some posters proclaimed McLeod would NEVER become a top 9 player.

Can you please apologize?
Top 9 player in the league? No.

Top 9 player on this team? Yeah.

I was one of those who always thought McLeod was just "there" and wasn't worth the investment especially where he was drafted.

That all changed last season in the Rags/Devils series.

That goal he scored (after Palat clowned two rags players) flipped some hidden switch he had and now he's playing like he was drafted at #12.

Good stuff, Mikey. Good stuff.
