Replacing Lovejoy with Mueller, especially tonight against a fast lightning team makes too much sense. Hayes has to go for Boyle. And we sorely miss Gibbons quickness in the bottom 6. Johansson has a decent amount of speed too. And Stafford.... what else can you say about him?

We really need some of these slugs out of the lineup. They're weighing us down. Part of it is coaching and part is out of necessity. But still.

Said nothing about Zajac. I've got no problem with Travis over the last 20 or so games. He's picked it up.

It's Lovejoy Hayes and Stafford that have to go.

Hynes was doing a great job using Lovejoy sparingly as a number 7 earlier in the season. That's what he needs to be.

As I said, some of its coaching (Lovejoy) and some of its out of necessity (Hayes,Stafford)

Definitely, but then someone has to go. I'd rather keep him in Binghamton rather than bring him up until everyone is healthy and then sending him right back down.

Santini will almost certainly get called up once the roster limit is over after the deadline.

I have low expectations for tonight. Just want the Devils to keep it close and competitive.

Would be pleasantly surprised to get out of this game with a point.
