Hey all,
Does anyone know of a (fairly) easy to use software or hardware solution that can be used to monitor and analyze network activity? I have a small business that takes some calls through a softphone software that connects to a client server. Recently we've been experiencing a lot of disconnects (and then this softphone takes about 10 minutes to reboot and reconnect). I am convinced that the internet pipe we are using is dropping packets or having some other blips I can't pin down. I'm hoping for something that would generate a report or log that I could review after an instance. I am much less concerned with the other options I've been seeing in some tools online (content monitoring & blocking, server monitoring since we don't host anything, etc.).
I am no network admin but I am tech savvy enough to work through anything that is at least someone user friendly, or that has strong documentation. I don't want to say that money is no object, but this is a major issue right now.
Thanks,
Mike
