Why? The Wild haven't proven a damn thing yet. They're the defending champs, we just won our first playoff series in 11 years!

If you weren't a Wild fan, I doubt you'd think all that differently.

The Wild need more than a series win vs a talented, but thin and inexperienced team to get national respect.

True, but the Avs are a good team. They won Central Division for a reason.

That said, I really don't care if we aren't being given credit. Lets show what we can do on the ice!

Beating the Avs, we beat a young inexperienced team with absolutely no depth in their lineup. The Avs had proven even less than the Wild entering the playoffs, and the Wild exposed their not quite ready for prime time lineup. Unfortunately the Wild took longer to close than they should have thanks to their giving up late leads in two road games.

The regular season is not even remotely like the playoffs. Completely different animal as the Wild showed the Avs.

Respect is gained in the post season first and foremost.

Playoff injury information is always non-existent unless a player's season is over. Get used to not hearing. That's why we never heard a peep about Suter playing with broken ribs last playoff season until they were eliminated.

Fletcher said on the radio it wasn't a concussion. However, this is the playoffs and we're not going to get specifics.

well the hawks have way more experience & arguably alot more proven talent. that said some of their players like hossa & sharp are getting older. we can cling to the hope that in 1991 the northstars beat the mighty hawks. i dont think it means anything that we beat them a few times during the regular season other than it gives us a little confidence. GO WILD! let us not forget SECORD SOKS SECORD SOKS! (nino rhymes with dino!)
