Him & his parents apparently asked Day if he would start in 2022 to which Day obviously couldn’t guarantee that which caused his departure.

I still think he ends up at Texas though.

Saw something that the endorsement deal he signed says that he had to start a certain number of games in his second year or he's not getting paid lol

Alabama’s defense put the game into the hands of Bennett. If he had the game of his career passing the ball into tight areas, Georgia would win. If not the Dogs lose. They lost. It’s interesting the way that Saban can pinpoint an opponent’s critical weakness and then torment it all game long.

I get he makes a lot of money & there could absolutely be worse things. So the responses could be “so what”.

But it’s kind of f***ed up what Miami did with Diaz this last week or so. The way these reports have been leaking you would have thought the job was vacant. Diaz was out there recruiting for them all this time.

Miami is an insane soap opera. His job is probably "secure" in that not enough trustees, boosters, and athletic department staff can agree to fire him. But factions who want him fired are probably trying to force something. There are dozens too many cooks in the kitchen.

At this point any big recruit who elects to go to Miami should be considered problematic for that decision-making process; are they trying to compile all Metcalfian/Brownian brains? There's a total lack of stability. Regimes last 2-3 years, they all go the exact same way, they spend ungodly amounts of time appeasing a horde of people to try to keep their job instead of doing their job. The guy who recruits you is not likely to be there when your career ends so who knows what you'll be playing. Seems like it would be especially bad for QB recruitment.

Eventually any remaining glory attached to "The U" name will fade and they won't even attract whatever headcases remain. it's a shame that so much money flows into the program that a huge chunk of the student body refusing to go to games doesn't matter. I feel bad for the students.
