Mark Stone didn’t play in the first 64 games for the team last season so at least he is around, but lets hope he stays healthy because these injuries are ridiculous. Stastny and Patches missed time early last season too so that dominant second line almost never saw the ice.

As long as the word 'surgery' isn't mentioned, it's safe to assume this is a sprain or contusion. That means three weeks tops.

I think it came out in rumors, but that's not something the team will ever mention AFAIK

The fans who spoke to 13 Action News stated Schmidt was walking slowly but wasn't seen wearing a knee brace or using a walking aide.

If theres even a slight chance of aggravating the injury, Gallant should scratch him. You know Schmitty wanted back on the ice as soon as he could even skate again. He has that type of character. I think we could all say outside of catastrophic injuries, this team is a playoff lock.

With that said, impressive recovery. The back end needs that puck moving ability. There has been very, very poor offensive production from the point guys. Since Hague is still pretty raw, the Knights could use a Brad Hunt, 7D type PP specialist. Theres Schmidt, Theodore, and then some rookies and bottom pairing guys.
