Might be a few. Cardinals certainly have more fans than the Braves from what I could tell (Braves are the "de facto" team of the Southeast).

… it's not affiliated hockey, and more likely than not, there's the risk of the team struggling from the gate, but could SPHL hockey work in this new arena? The local rivalries with Knoxville, Birmingham, and Evansville (though Evansville is not as easy to get to as I'd like to claim from Clarksville) would help.

Clarksville was kicking around the arena idea somewhere in the 15-20 years ago range, with Central league interest at the time. A Predators AHL club in the vicinity would be successful.
