JP for me here. For 3 seasons he was the best winger we've had not named Kariya. If not for his last season his average would likely be 2nd among forwards. That last season I've heard he had problems getting out of bed yet still played 70 games with a bad back. He loves Nashville, loved the Predators.

I had a tough time picking between Dumont and Arnott. Both were really effective offensively here for a time. Arnott had a booming shot and good offensive instincts. The downside of Arnott is he would often go through periods of laziness and often wouldn't asset himself despite his large frame. I'm going JP because his first 3 years here were incredible. He was amazingly consistent. He probably, other than maybe Kariya, had the smartest offensive mind of any player that ever put on a Preds jersey.

Why isnt Leggy #1C? For some reason this disturbs me :laugh:

@King Weber

I might be missing something about how it works, but why isn't Legwand slotted as 1C?

I feel like there are players out there that are better suited for that role than Legwand, mainly Johansen and/or Arnott. As we vote in more players, the lines will likely change a bit. The lines are up for discussion of course.

That’s the complete opposite of the poll. You asked us to pick who was the “best” Pred, not do a fantasy draft.

The polls are about ranking the best forwards, defensemen and goalies. The lineups are there just for fun.

It’s totally cool. It might be interesting to see what people think about how current/former Preds would play together. Maybe once lineup a and b are done see who can put together the best team.

Leggy and Kariya had great chemistry together, so I would keep them paired. RW is more complicated. The obvious choice would be Sullivan (two “cherry-picking” wings and a fast defensive center) but they were all together at that time and it wasn’t really tried, but I don’t know if that was a chemistry thing or line distribution. From there it’s like Dumont, Hornquist, or Smith/Orszagh, which significantly changes the line dynamics.
