My mock draft/top 30.

Here's what I think will happen on draft day:

Chicago - Kyle Turris

Phoenix - Patrick Kane... I think Phoenix will trade up with Philadelphia (switch places in the draft) to draft Patrick Kane

Philadelphia - Jakub Voracek - they think Jakub has the third best points producing potential in the draft and think he can contribute right away.

Los Angeles - James Van Riemsdyk... they are happy that the player that was third on their draft list falls to them at #4.

Washington - Karl Alzner - they could use another great defenseman prospect

Edmonton - Sam Gagner

Columbus - Logan Couture... after Fedorov retires they will have a solid 1-2 punch with Brassard and Couture.. unless I am missing one of Columbus' center prospects.

Boston - Alexei Cherepanov IMO they could use another scoring winger

St. Louis - Maxim Mayorov

Florida - Angelo Esposito

Carolina - Kevin Shattenkirk

Montreal - Zach Hamill

Toronto - Keaton Ellerby

Colorado - Brandon Sutter

Edmonton - Nick Petrecki

Anaheim - Billy Sweatt

NYRangers - Lars Eller

Calgary - Oscar Mollar

Minnesota - Luca i

Pittsburgh - Mikael Backlund

Phoenix - Colton Gillies

Montreal - Alex Plante

Interesting choice with the multi-coloured picks. I don't feel the Leafs would go with a defenceman with their pick. Ellerby is a good player I agree, but Eller or Backlund would probably be their choice in my view.

If the Flyers end up with Kane AND McDonagh in the first round, I will be a happy man. Actually, any one of the top 5 forwards and McDonagh would be a coup.

Not bad, the only thing I can't really see happening is the Canucks choosing a defensive centre like Andersson over offensive prospects like PAcioretty, Perron or Repik.
