TO trades Nylander to Columbus For Seth Jones

Reasoning Columbus has lost out on players walking away in free agency and getting nothing for them. Nylander has term!

TO Trades Rielly to Edmonton For Darnell Nurse
Change of scenery for both player. Leafs add more toughness Edmonton adds skill.

To Trades Lilegren to Ottawa for Austin Watson
Lily needs a chance and Watson brings what Toronto needs!

Um. We'd expect something other than just Nylander by himself. Yet Another Winger doesn't really do much for us and doesn't facilitate any sort of Immediate Bounceback plan - that would require we get particular needs filled.

This is a pretty clueless proposal. Nurse had a career year in Edmonton. He was stellar. Why would he want to move? Why would the Oilers want to trade him? Rielly doesn't do it.

Swing and a miss!

Not a chance. Marner for Jones with an extension makes way more sense than Nylander.

Nylander for Jones would make our cap ski even worse

You should keep wishing for that wish list because it isn't realistic.

Nylander for JT Miller is something the Leafs should look into if they want to change the dynamic of their team in the playoffs.

Miller is what the LEafs were hoping for when they traded for Foligno so at least the LEafs know what they need to do to find success in playoff hockey. They just targeted the wrong guy.

Miller, point per game player. Can play wing or centre. Kills penalties, plays the powerplay, tough, aggressive yet skillfull as well.

Leafs wouldnt trade Nylander for Jones unless they had him signed
Nurse just had a breakout year, so, no go there.
Watson I like, but, you dont give up Lily to get him.
Ottawa got him for a 4th for goodness sakes, its not like he became more valuable, he's turning 30 and has never broken 20 points in his career.
3 strikes, and out!

When Marner4Life sends Santa his Leafs wish list, and Santa sends back a Terminator version of himself as his answer.

These proposals are a perfect example on why other fan bases knock the Maple Leafs.

Columbus fans have been somewhat on board for Marner, so Nylander is offered instead.

Oilers fans have been singing the praises of Nurse all year, and he needs a "change of scenery", that of course benefits the Leafs.

Senators fans seem very happy with Watson and his place on the team, so you're offering a piece they don't really need.

And then my Canucks get dragged into this with Miller, far and away one of our best scorers and best overall forwards, for a lower scoring, more expensive, less physical, less versatile, slightly younger player.
