Imho, the NHL All Star Team is a little Outdated. I think that 2 seperate teams of 6 should not be the case for the teams and we should have a different format.
My Idea is to format the Team like this:
#1 LW - #1 C - #1 RW
#2 LW - #2 C - #2 RW
#3 LW - #3 C - #3 RW
#4 LW - #4 C - #4 RW
Defense is a little Sketchy, either This:
#1 LHD - #1 RHD
#2 LHD - #2 RHD
#3 LHD - #3 RHD
Or This:
#1 D - #2 D
#3 D - #4 D
#5 D - #6 D
Rarely would matter much, yet it could.
Goalies are Simple:
#1 G
#2 G
Here is my Example of what 2018's might look like with this (Using the 1-6 D Format):
Taylor Hall - Connor McDavid - Claude Giroux
Alex Ovechkin - Nathan MacKinnon- Nikita Kucherov
Brad Marchand - Evgenii Malkin - Phil Kessel
Patrik Laine - Anze Kopitar - Blake Wheeler
Johnny Gaudreau (Could Swap those LWs)
Drew Doughty - Victor Hedman
John Klingberg - P.K Subban
Roman Josi - Seth Jones
Honorable Mention to Shane Gostisbehere
Pekka Rinne
Connor Hellebucyk
I think those two are better than Vasilevsky imho.
I think this looks a whole lot better then Two lines of Forwards, Defensemen and Goalies. A whole roster looks a lot better.
What do you think of this idea? For me, it looks Interesting, fun, and more fitting for a league with 31 (soon to be 32) teams.
