My Early Top 50 for 2021 NHL Draft

I made this list for fun and thought I could share it with everyone. I still have very limited viewings in some areas so take it with that. Hope there's no one missing.

Aatu Räty takes the first place but the race for #1 is wide open. Luke Hughes has made a good impression on me with his skill and skating level, and also he has risen to the occasion in big games at the U17's. Daniil Chayka has size, skating and skill to be a minute munching defenseman at the next level. Discuss!

Like I said to the previous person who made a mock draft for “fun” how dare you. This is a serious mock draft, and if your just doing this for “fun” then I’m sorry to say that you don’t belong with the BIG boys. I’ll let it slide this time, but just remember for the future there is no “fun” allowed. I’ll leave you with this image to remind you what’ll happen the next time I see a “fun” post.

I posted the top 20 rookie scorers in the OHL. I think on both lists that have been posted for 2021, people are sleeping on Brett Harrison. They rave about him on the Gens board. I think he will be the big climber for next year. I could see him in the first round. He is third in scoring if your take away the 02 rookies and Wright.

Right. I have four viewings of him and he hasn't made a strong impression on me. I'll have to take a closer look next time.

I don't see him as a top prospect. He's small, is weak on the boards, his shot isn't great, he plays too much on the perimeter.

yah Kent Johnson is too low for my liking, what made you put him so low?

The more I think about it the more I think L'Heureux and Zachary Bolduc will be extremely high picks next year. You have L'Heureux at 14th, which I guess is alright for now. But you have Bolduc at 47, which is a mistake

They could both be top-10

i would include the Edmonton Oil Kings goaltender Sabastien Cossa in the top 50 for sure! it was his goaltending as a 16/17 year old that led the Oil Kings to finish close to the top of the WHL standings this past year !
