I’m hoping we see a better effort from the drop of the puck and much better execution. They pulled the last one out on the back of a really dumb penalty by their opponent but before then the Flyers has them bottled up and we had nothing.

They pulled out a win but it was still pretty disappointing to see a them play how they did for the first two periods considering they had loss 4 straight including a couple when they had 3 goal leads.

They’ve got a couple games to get themselves back on track before a string of games against potential tough playoff teams in the Jets, Bruins and Leafs. Will be a good chance to see how they stack up against other teams ramping up for the playoffs.

I was in Pittsburgh last week and caught them vs the Devils. They weren't awful but sloppy defensive plays lost them that game, lots of odd man rushes. I'm hoping we can do the same. They'll be desperate for points as they're kinda just hanging on to a playoff spot.

Yamamoto and Puljujarvi have both lost their spots to 36 year old Derek Ryan.

Derek Ryan is such a good and dedicated professional. All he's done to even get here took so much effort and hard work. He's the forward equivalent of Desharnais in terms of perseverance to hockey dream. These are great stories. I knew of Ryan 20 yrs ago and always nice to see him do well in Oilers uniform.

Oh, the mariner song changed up finally, its different now. Its the spinal tap part.
