It's like the famous Beckett play. He wasn't here yesterday, isn't here today, won't be here tomorrow. Nothing to be done.
Weird how Shero has said nothing.
Unless he has and I haven't seen it yet.
He hasn't. Starting to look a weeeee bit fishy methinks.
Kovalchuk “retired” from the Devils and his 15-year, $100 million deal in 2013 and has played for SKA St. Petersburg the past four seasons. Kovalchuk agreed to a new, one-year deal with his KHL club.
90%+ chance he still comes back. No statement about a contract , no statement from shero, means the saga ain't over yet
Well if you read Gross's piece he claims they agreed to a one-year deal even though there's nothing on the SKA site:

I also think it's funny that only Gross and Larry Brooks have said he's signed and isn't coming back.
I believe he's not coming back, regardless of everything else.

You guys are working yourselves again.
we remain the only club to be punished for cap circumvention.....
on a contract that was never approved.
Some of you need to make like Elsa and 'Let it go' already.
He's not coming back.
Well I think it's obvious Larry got his info from Grossman since he's always been a Kovalchuk mouthpiece. Gross just said he confirmed the Brooks report, not that he got it FROM him. Maybe he talked to Grossman too, but you'd think they'd ask more than just the agent.
Wouldn't the KHL be bragging about kovy returning if contract was signed ?
