If I've followed this thread correctly, the hate comes from the fact that MT just said that Price should be a lock for Sochi when 2 weeks ago when asked if Subban should be on team Canada he said it's none of his business and he wouldn't comment on that.

Once again it just shows that he says or does something one day than a few days later he does or says the opposite.

Johansen and Murray have been two of the most consistent / best CBJ players this season. The kids have been doing OK, it is the vets that need to get in gear.

You guys missed the point. Therrien said he wouldn't comment about players having a chance to play for their country wherever it's Subban or anyone else. Then he proceeds to talk about how Carey Price should play for team Canada. Why is that? Why can he praise Price when he's playing at his best, but not do the same for Subban? Why can Carey Price get acknowledged over the team, but whenever it's Subban, no way.

Exactly, it's all about double standards, inconsitency etc.

Whole team has a bad game: bench Eller.

DD has a bad season: try to re-arrange the whole team to get him going.

PK plays great: no comments about team Canada and it's because he's paired with Markov. Oh and forget about having more ice time.

Price plays great: it's now OK to comment on team Canada and Price should be a lock.

The players are not stupid, they see this and start losing rispek for the guy.

Not really.. There isnt as many top tier canadian goaltenders as there are top tiers canadian defenseman. One might even say the balance is tilted heavily in favour of d-men. That is not to say Subban isnt top tier, he is and should definitely be part of the team. However logic indicates that as far as debates are concerned, Price as a team canada goalie is much more of a lock than Subban as a team canada d-man.
