This would be more palatable if Mete was a RHD, but the trade as is doesn't really do anything for Toronto. Mete doesn't play over Rielly or Gardiner, and would be battling with Dermott for 3rd pairing (which would be a waste of his talents). Patches for Nylander is just not enticing at all for the Leafs.

Depending on which Leaf fan you ask, 2019 first (+) is on the table for Petry and Weber.
