I never thought Jordie Benn was a very good defenseman, but maybe he's improved since I made that assessment, I don't watch the Stars much.

Probably the best we could do considering we were determined, for whatever reason (angry girlfriend notwithstanding), to get rid of Pateryn. Maybe a small overpayment but not the kind that's likely the haunt you.

He's improved quite a bit actually. Nothing fancy but perfect #5-6 guy, plays physical and can make a decent first pass. Pateryn is nothing special either. We payed a 4th essentially to add some experience.
