Moustakas is a great example of a player who is getting screwed by this fa system.
2 years of free agency: 66 homers. 15.5 mil, and no years guaranteed beyond this year. That's bull****.
Yeah, he passed on a deal in hopes of getting a bigger one, and there just wasn't one and then he was left without a partner on the dance floor. He's a solid player, but he isn't a guy that you invest in long-term. His defense ranges from average to below average, so there should be concern about what he is at 32 or so when he starts to decline, and he just doesn't get on base very often.Didn’t he have offers around 4 years and 50 million early last offseason? He also turned down the 18-ish million qualifying offer last year which hurt his value with the comp. pick. Dude has a bad agent.
He was 29 going into free agency after hitting 38 homers. There was no reason for him to believe, based on past history, that a qo or 4/50 was the best he could get. He ended up losing out, but not because he wasn't worth more.Didn’t he have offers around 4 years and 50 million early last offseason? He also turned down the 18-ish million qualifying offer last year which hurt his value with the comp. pick. Dude has a bad agent.
bad defense at third skillset
He's like a Jhonny Peralta. Average to below average with limited range.Moustakas isn't bad defensively.
