Who do you think is the next most valuable Oiler?

Consider age, contract, injury history, positional value, leadership, potential, etc... Ignore team need. One way of thinking of it would be: in a trade to a neutral team, who would bring the greatest return?

I voted RNH. #1 Center and the most consistent player on the team. He also has a complete game on both ends of the ice. He is more valuable than Hall imo

Hall. Consistently amongst the league leaders in scoring (minus last season), game breaking winger, x factor player.

Nuge is an elite #1C in the making. Has the skills and the brains.
Gets my vote ahead of Hall who gets his points but has more than a fair share of frustrating moments

just north of...everything
Hall, but Nuge is close. The center ice position is more important, but Hall could be the best player in the league at his position. Nuge probably won't ever be top 10 at his.

Wait there's people that voted someone besides McDavid for #1 last poll?

In other news, it's funny how at one point we saw Smid as more valuable than Nurse (I can at least understand Gagner/Schultz coming off the seasons they had).

Hall for me.

He has more game-breaking ability than anyone else on the team (except McDavid) and I think we'll see him play a better all-around game with an experienced NHL coach behind the bench.

I was split half and half between Hall and Nuge. I went with Nuge in the end because of personal preference, but I completely respect that Hall will likely win this.

Hall has proven he can be an elite game breaker. I don't think Nuge has shown that so that is why I chose Hall.

McDavid, Hall, Nugent-Hopkins, if Hall had not got hurt during the season I think he would have been our top scorer and I think this season would have been his break out season as a star player. He looked great when he came back and he looked awesome in the WHC. Nugent Hopkins looked better than ever this year the extra muslce he put on helped alot in keeping him from injury and stopping opponents from knocking him off the puck it looked like his best season with the Oilers and he will be even better next season. I think as long as the Oilers keep these 3 players their future is very bright.

I agree. Having (potentially) two of the top 20 C's in the NHL, and one of the top 5 wingers in the NHL should be the core of a great group of forwards. The other guys can be moved out if we need to address needs elsewhere or change the makeup of the team, but these 3 should be here long-term.

I think Nuge is a more complete player, and for that reason, I think he might be more desirable on the trade front.

Additionally, the return on wingers is historically often very low. Check out Jagr's trade history!

2 seasons out of 5 he was in the top of the scoring.

I went with RNH based on that I believe if you shopped both of them around the league, he would return a better package than Hall.

RNH could be here, if he had played to the level that Hall has shown he can. But he hasn't yet done that IMO.

Pretty wild that Marincin was ahead of Klefbom at this time last year.

two years ago Marincin was on the top pairing with Petry looking pretty good, while Klefbom wasn't able to crack the roster. What a year of difference will do eh

Klefbom is a top 4, Marincin was traded for basically nothing
