It's too bad time on ice wasn't collected as much back then, I'm curious to know if most games means most minutes played in a season. While Carson and Kudelski (86 games each), Glenn Anderson (85) went on the Rangers Cup run that year ('93-94), playing 23 playoff games, too. 108 games total, not sure if that's some kind of record.
Some goalkeepers played a full schedule back when the season was 70 games or fewer (Glenn Hall did it for almost eight consecutive years). That's 4,200 minutes, less the times pulled for a sixth attacker. A defenseman or forward would have to average over 51 minutes per game for 82 games to top those figures.
Have to say I liked the old 84 game regular season and think they should go back to it. Every team would play two more games and maybe one of those games could be a neutral site location in the U.S. that doesn't have a team
