Any of you guys know which team holds the record for most consecutive seasons not making it past the 1st round?

And who would have the record if you include missing the playoffs entirely, as well? So say you missed the playoffs for years 1-5 and then lost in the first round for years 6-10, this would = 10.

For the 1st question: Whalers with 6 from 1987-1992 and Maple Leafs with 6 from 2017-2022.

Sabres had 5 from 1988-1992.

When Nashville came into the NHL, it took 6 years to make the playoffs and 6 more to win a round, so that was 12 years.

They were not LV or Seattle.

Buffalo hasn’t made it out of round 1 since 06-07
