Makar's also playing with 5 NHL forwards in the line up. Thanks for coming out
The only forwards missing from the lineup that are of any relevance to Makar are Landeskog and Nichushkin. I don't know who else you're trying to smuggle in there.

Also, even with those two in the lineup, I don't know how many more points you'd expect him to have. He's already over PPG.

Those players being out forces the Avs to dress bottom 6 players in their top 6. It has a big impact on his assist totals. Before Nichuskin went down, he had half of the Avs PP goals. PP assists are easy assists for Makar...it's also where Hughes gets a lot of his assists.

Exactly what multitude of bottom 6 guys are playing in the top 6 exactly.

It's also not like Mack and Rantanen aren't playing over 22 MPG right?

Apparently the best team in the NHL is just a couple injuries away from being an AHL team even though they still have like 4 of their 5 best players healthy.

Hughes is a better playmaker than Makar so I'll go with him. Since his shot is a complete muffin Hughes is also going to focus heavily on the playmaking.

I think Hughes will end up with more assists, but Makar will have more points.

They’re both great as a powerplay QB, but Makar is lethal with that precision wrister through traffic.

How many NHL forwards did they have last season when they were the best team in the NHL yet Hughes still had more assists?
