Trade 1: Detroit laughs. Why would they move a pretty good prospect to just move up 3 spots?
Trade 2: Florida can just easily wait until the deadline to trade a 2nd and prospect, not a 1st in a decent draft.
Trade 3: Why would Montreal do that? If I were Toronto, I am taking that and running. But, they could always just test the waters of free agency and not pay their 1st.

Your best bet: Packaging a couple of those 2nd round picks and Patches to try and get another mid 1st.

I would do the first 2 easily, but I doubt the other teams do it.
As for the 3rd trade no thx, I'm pretty sure Petry could return much more than just a late 1st
Detroit needs defense why would they even consider trade #1? It's the exact opposite of what they should do.

Pacs can get a mid first on his own.

Look at deadline deals where players get 1sts all the time

I think the only decent trade is number 1 and that is debatable.
The other two favor Montreal big time.

That's pretty bad for Detroit and Florida. Petry is worth more than that return.

I think the Habs should take Zadina at 3, then see if Kotkaniemi is still there at 9. If so, trade Zadina + WSH 2nd for 9 + 26 + 29. From there, try to package 26+29+MTL2nd to get to 12-15 range and nab Veleno. To walk away with the 2 best centres in the draft would be a step in the right direction.

From a MTL perspective,
I do the 2nd in a heartbeat (but FLA won't).
I don't know Cholowski enough atm but I'd be willing to consider this trade.
I don't do Petry for 25th.

26 29 and a second doesnt get you to that range. Or at least. Certainly doesn't from a flyers perspective. And likely not from a NYI perspective.

The Detroit trade seems pretty fair

Florida would never do that trade.

I wouldn't move Petry for just a late 1st.

1) defenseman have a lot more value than wingers
2) Hamonic had 3 years left on a hell of a contract.

Hardly a comparison.
