Joey Saputo just said on TSN 690 that they'll announcing a sellout for the 29th in the next couple of days. Somewhere between 55,000 to 58,000.

Listening now, unfortunately they can't have additional stands on time to get more than 58k.

Taking some notes, will try to give a summary later today.

Thanks. Didn't have the time to post a summary before the interview was uploaded.

It's good that Joey is not happy with the start of the season in the MLS. He's happy we made it to the CL final, but doesn't want it to be served as an excuse for our underpformances in the MLS.

Other thing that caught my attention is that it looks like getting italian players will be very hard after the Giovinco deal. Saputo said that some italian players are requesting ridiculous wages. And he insisted he's not going that route.

He even kind of admitted it was a mistake to change the coach 2 years ago rather than trying to improve the team on the field.

It's a bit too ambitious to expect the present team to perform in both competitions. The real danger here is management thinking this team is much better than they are because they went far in the CCL.

Of course! Those guys aren't stupid. If a guy like Giovinco can get 15M$ a year, why the hell wouldn't other players of similar talent ask for the same? TFC screwed everyone with their stupid spendings.

Joey talking about the buzz kind of annoys me. We barely promote your team, don't ****ing complain about the lack of buzz. Sure, the media could help a little, but marketing has been piss poor (not the content they produce though; it is great). A buzz has to be fueled. Yes, by winning, but also by marketing the process.
