You have to take the whole of his season and not half. And all that doesn't change the fact that 7 x years remaining makes him immoveable.

I think Huberdeau for PLD probably makes the most amount of sense if Cgy / LA want to swap garbage and hope they find their respective games. I don't see what either has to lose.

But the bigger problem with the deal is its later years. Whether Huberdeau plays at 60 or 80 or 90% doesn't change the fact he'll be turning into a complete anchor when the Habs core reaches its peak, which is roughly when Gallagher and Anderson will be off the books.

12M and nobody said they were good contract. They just least horrible than huberdeau contract who is 7years

For the next 3 years But in Josh's case. There is no way he can do worse than he did this year. Gallagher wasn't that bad this year. Not worth his contract but he did help the team (unlike Anderson who was destroying any line he was part of).

this has already been discussed -and kiboshed by habs fans. Absolutely 0 chance Montreal is taking on four additional years of Huberdeau's 10.5 mill salary

Done. Huberdeau is the best player in the deal, but the other contracts aren't as long. I'd do it in a heartbeat.
