Folks, this really is why there's no goalie controversy despite how similar our goalies' numbers are (were?). Budaj has a talent for coming in "cold" (but as rested as you could ever hope to be) and putting up a performance - sometimes downright steal a game. He just isn't the kind of animal you can chain to the pipes night in, night out, though. He seemed particularly out of sorts tonight, likely due to conditioning (less energy) compounded by travel (less focus) at this point.
