I guess this is why my you tube feed has had videos from him recently popping up showing him singing Moana songs to his young daughter. Trying to get people open to the idea lol

I also don't call their live action movies of existing animated products really remakes as much as just doing a live action adaptation now that CGI allows them to do that. I mean how many have they done so far and have many of the more recent ones adapted from big 90s animated movies not made over $1B each?

I mean if you look here List of Disney live-action adaptations and remakes of Disney animated films - Wikipedia they have a ton more at various stages of production.

Guy Ritchie is doing a live action adaptation of Hercules
The Aristocats is getting made by Quest Love etc.

This is... really not something I can see have any value. And Moana is probably my favourite Disney movie since I was a kid.

I am close with a family that lives on Oahu , they had a young daughter that loved that movie and wanted a sail boat, they are rich so she got one. started racing and did really well. Started going up the ranks.. Got a foil boat.. is now on team USA on the oricle.. Larry Ellison own team USA and pays for all that stuff. Her uncle and aunt live on Lanai next to Larry..

Moana is only 7 years old. They could easily have made it CGI at the time. This is more like making a movie twice just to rake in double the cash.
