Random thoughts about Fife:
  • Dubbie Kerr is one of the best forwards in this league, and he wasn't an offense-only player either. He was actually our top choice for 1st line LW; Tardif was our second choice.
  • I loved Golonka as a 1st liner after a 40 team draft. After a 28 team one? Not so sure about it, but maybe I'm underrating him. Or am I?
  • I love Billy Gilmour's overall game - if he were a 3rd liner, he would have gotten one of my top All-Star votes. But is his offense good enough for a first line?
  • Steve Vickers was our backup plan if Hamill got taken, so you got really good value on him.
  • Bobby Gould is a defensive specialist; what's he doing on a scoring line?
  • Ron Stewart did get one of my high all-star votes for bottom 6.
  • Where will Fife's secondary scoring come from?
  • The Babych-Maxwell pairing brings lots of offense, but seems like they would struggle in their own end.
  • I know Dandurand did a lot for the Canadiens, but how was he as a coach?
