So, just an initial thought; who has the goaltending advantage?

Ranford and Kolzig are among a pack of goalies that pretty much blend into one indistinguishable tier for me, along with guys like Hextall, Kiprusoff, McLean, Khabibulin, Giguere. I wish someone would do some sort of analysis that could point out some major advantages or disadvantages between these guys.

Both teams have a few of my favourite MLD defensemen. This is tough to call. Someone break the silence!

The difference is that Hockey Digest magazine continued calling Ranford the best goaltender in the game for about 3 years after he became washed up and useless.

I'll take a look at those 7 guys, see what I can drag up.
