Out of curiosity, how much of this was tied to Covid and how much to rule changes? We do have to consider that MLB 2022 (the base) was still in April 2022 and I just went back and looked at photos from then, it's essentially half empty in Toronto as some fans avoided large interactions.

Don't get me wrong, rule changes have made it a much better experience but I wouldn't chock it up to that so quickly

The only reason attendance is up 10% is because the previous year was near a historic low.

You can see total league attendance has been trending down for a long time.

How does 2023's attendance compare to 2019. That would be a better barometer from which to compare.

Edit: Oh, I just see it posted now. 68 million in 2019. 2 million increase overall with what I assume are the same number of regular season games (barring a few rainouts that were not rescheduled maybe). That's quite good.
