Did anyone watch the game vs Albany? Any thoughts on the two Italians and Nell? I only saw the highlights....

Saw the highlights. From what I saw the only bright spot was Nell's performance, despite not getting .900 on the night. Pedrie looked terrible on defense, but did amass 4 SOG. Jensen and Hrivik really should be playing in the NHL. Beck's shot is too nasty.

Well this explains the name change and why it was reverted back:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hartford_Wolf_Pack
_____________________________________________________________________
Summer 2010 the Rangers entered into a business relationship which gave former Whalers owner Howard Baldwin control of the team's business operations.[1] On September 20, 2010 Baldwin announced the Wolf Pack would change their name to the Connecticut Whale in honor of the Whalers.[2] The name change took place on November 27, 2010; the final game with the "Wolf Pack" name came on November 26, 2010.
--
In June 2012, after just 21 months, the New York Rangers terminated their business relationship with Howard Baldwin and Whalers Sports & Entertainment [1] after he and his company ran up a debt of almost $3 million and had about 15 court cases against him.[4]

In April 2013, just two and a half seasons after rebranding as the Whale, the team decided it would revert to the nickname "Wolf Pack" for the following season.[5] Global Spectrum, the group now marketing the team and managers of the XL Center arena, announced in May 2013 that the franchise had officially returned to the Hartford Wolf Pack identity.[6]

Hartford won 4-3. Pedrie had two assists which were his first two professional points and Nell stopped 27 of 30 for his first professional win.

Jensen has 29 goals now. It's not easy to score 30 goals in the AHL. Third overall in goals. He's having a nice season.

Nell's play and positioning reminds me of Kari Lehtonen a bit. Big goalie and plays low with pads and hands. Not saying he is Kari Lehtonen, but the style of stance is very similar.

Jensen should be ready for an NHL spot next season. Especially if Fast/Lindberg are claimed in the draft (even though i'm sure it will be Raanta). There's not much more he can do at the AHL level in terms of developing.

Saw Skapski last night in the ECHL, Halverson tonight in the AHL... not looking good at all. A miracle save here and there, but in summary not good enough. Same can be said of Hellberg and Malcolm.

I'll be curios to see what the Swamp Rabbits will do for the playoffs in terms of goaltending. Skapski and Malcolm are in the ECHL and with 3 games left in the Pack season, what will happen to Halverson?

I can see Hellberg join the NYR as a black ace and practice goalie.

Swamp Rabbits take Game 1 over South Carolina 6-3
http://www.echl.com/game-summary?game_id=14845
Full game highlights on the ECHL website!

Game 2 tonight!

Oksanen with 3 points.
Joly deserves the chatter he gets
but Okasanen has had strong 2d half.
Finished w 21G,52Pts in 53 games
Recall there were health/recovery concerns when season began.
If Lettieri can get an ELC, this guy is bigger, more productive with a strong shot, why not him

also one of the very few + guys on HWP, in 15 games +1

Pack getting their final assbeating in the last game of the season, thank god their worst season in the AHL in franchise history is about to end. That team needs to blown up like no team ever before save Hrivik and Jensen. Disgusted the NYR would ice such a team in the first place.
