I understand why people are going with Haight, and I'm pretty happy he's got skill, but he also hasn't put that skill together yet, even at the junior level. I'm going with Simon Johansson because I think he's going to end up on the Wild before too long, maybe even this year if there are enough injuries.

It's crazy that the prospects at this level are still this interesting. I think Hunt has a legit solid chance to be a #4/#5 level defender. I'm also pretty big fans of Haight, Novak, Lorenz, and Milne in terms of all having chances to be NHL players with differing degrees of NHL upside. I don't know much about any of the rest of these guys.

16-18 deep like this is insane. I've never seen anything like it.

So, 11 of the top 12 on that list have (or will soon be) played for their respective World Junior Championship teams. That doesn't necessarily mean they'll all have great careers or anything, plenty of world junior guys have flopped, but it does indicate that they've had good enough careers to get invited, so far. Sounds like Petrovsky and Spacek will also be joining that crowd.

So, 13 World Junior Championship level prospects. Is that a lot? It sounds like a lot.
