With a condensed and shortened schedule, goalie depth is more important than usual. You're going to see more back-to-back games, and an injury to a starter will be tougher to get through.

Any goalie with a pulse should be getting a contract.

Hasn't played in the NHL since 17-18 season where he played 1 regular season and 3 post season games. Been in the AHL since with ~.909 sv% in 66 games so pretty unremarkable.

The weird thing about Hammond is that aside from 2016-2017 his numbers actually look pretty good on paper. I don’t remember being that impressed when he was a Senator(aside from his rookie season)

Well, not so much "free for life", as promised.

McDonald's apparently cheaped-out and gave him $1,000 (probably Canadian) in McDonald's coupons -- which the Hamburglar said is pretty much a lifetime supply of McDonalds anyway.
