Is anyone really surprised? We have been finding them in fish and other things we eat for some time now so only a matter of time before they were found in us, including out blood.

What is scare potentially is what does this mean for people with the start of blockages in their arteries, will this start getting caught up in the plaque that start narrowing them and leading to heart attacks or strokes?

Not surprised, other than how long it took after finding them in fish.

It's been awhile since my last statistics class, but it sure seems dubious to conflate "almost every person sampled" and "11 out of 13 patients" to support the significance of surgical mask contributions to blood-borne microplastics.

Microplastic fibres were found deep in the lower lungs of living human beings in almost every person sampled in a recent UK study.

The study from Great Britain discovered microplastic particles — present in many COVID-19 masks — in the lung tissue of 11 out of 13 patients undergoing surgery. ...
