Excellent! Thanks! Though I think it's missing a few attempts and goals...

You're assuming Michigan attempts are whole numbers.
Well we're talking about Michigan attempts, not EXPECTED Michigan attempts!

That's a Stallone-84 model.

calls up one of ur homies

It won’t stop calling my bud Adrian..?

Anywho, gotta factor in how many just fall off the stick, how many times a guy thinks it and gets stopped before we really notice it. Those are still probably rare, but that + goalies reading it quicker probably brings the percentage down towards 25%. If that’s accurate it becomes less rewarding, obviously, and I do think goalies showed quicker reads towards the end of last year.

This, it's a useless exercise to calculation because it would entirely be skewed. It is attempted so few times, the times it's attempted the player generally has a lot more time and space than usual and think it will work. The vast majority of times, guys are going to try it unless they are pretty confident it will work because if it doesn't they look dumb.

But for the purposes of deciding whether it's a good hockey play or not is that not irrelevant? If they're attempted only when a guy thinks it works and it usually works doesn't that make it a good hockey play?
