The cost of first round picks is becoming a little outrageous. Teams will be stupid not to tank a little late if this is the kind of future return you can get
Miami better hope Tua works out, or they'll be in the same situation trying to get back up to 3 to get a QB. Live by the sword, die by the sword.

Yea but what I meant was after that the market cooled a bit until 2016 when the Rams went all out to get the top pick.
Depends on how far you are coming up and how highly regarded the top picks are. RG3 more highly regarded than Goff/Wentz. Had Luck come out the prior year (Cam's year, Luck would have gone 1s to Carolina). Leaving RG3 as the top pick to the Colts.

It cost 2 Firsts for Houston/KC to move up from the 20's into around 10-12 to grab Watson/Mahomes because there were questions about them as QB needy teams passed on them in the top 10.

Darold cost NYJ basically 3 extra 2nd round picks to swap spots with Indy, 3 to 6. 3 seconds (2 early and 1 mid), vs SF/PHI deal with cost a 1st and 3rd. Right now, unknown where those picks will land. SF without Jimmy as their starter and relying on backups ended up picking #2 and #12 those 2 years he got hurt. The other year they went to the SB. So, who knows how they do with a new QB.
