My favorite of the 21st century. A titan, bonafide original. Just discovered this song today too. Hadn't known he died. Brilliance to the point of bordering on genius. To me, the greatest hip-hop artist of all-time. Similar to Pryor and stand-up comedy, I think he just about lapped his field. The story of his come-up is both impressive and tragic.

f***ing hell. You just needed that last sucker punch, didn’t you, 2020?

Not exactly a stan of his or anything, but he was one of those the underground rappers. Incredibly skilled. Operation: Doomsday is probably my favorite of his, although Madvillainy certainly comes close with staggering highlights. Dude literally dropped rhymes like dimes.

Listened through my favorite cuts from Madvillainy and last two tracks hit me way harder than I expected.

RIP MF DOOM (”Just remember ALL CAPS when you spell the man name”)

Didn't love MF DOOM because I found him boring at times. But my god could he spin a verse. He was a sensational rapper.

It's so on the nose that he died months ago and we're just now finding out.

RIP to a Legend

I loved KMD, didn't really dig his solo stuff when his voice changed and he went to that monotone flow, although I did love that Danger Doom LP.

I usually dislike using someone's death to share an anecdote about your own life (whether with them or without) but this got a chuckle out of me. Twitter is just about only useful when someone dies or for breaking news.

A Long Island and Hip Hip Legend! My uncles and father in law went to high school with him. A true wordsmith and lyricist. RIP

Guy was an absolute icon along with the way he influenced the path of a lot of today's more modern. What a terrible way to end 2020.

This hurts.
