Men's League/High School/Youth Hockey/Sled Hockey thread

I'm going to be playing for the Music City Flyers Upper C team this summer. I'm a sub for Yazoo in Lower B but haven't played with them.

The Sled Preds (sled hockey) season starts Sunday, Aug. 23. Our first practice is 4:30-7:00 at Centennial. We plan to ice 2 adult and 1 Jr. team this season.

3 of our wounded warrior vets were invited to a US development camp this summer. All 3 were encouraged to tryout for the US Team next summer. Keith Grooms, an instructor at Ford Ice Center with high school and junior hockey coaching experience is leading the program for the 2015-2016 season. Should be an exciting year.

If you know anyone that can't play standing up because of spinal cord injuries, amputations, congenital defects, or just bad knees, they can still get their hockey fix. MTSU had a hard weekend, playing #3 USF (not sure how the national ranking system works for club, but sure) falling in both their games. MTSU takes on Ole Miss on 10/10 at Ford Ice Center.

Vandy had a pretty nice weekend winning the 2nd annual College Hockey Scholar Shootout. The Dores took down Notre Dame (Club), North Western, and North Carolina to retain the Pencil for the 2nd year in a row. The Dores take on Ole Miss next on 10/09 at Ford Ice Center. Then a double header with Arkansas (Club) on 10/10 & 10/11 at Ford Ice Center.

I would post about UT, but I can't seem to find an updated site for them. Some thing I did learn is two SEC teams (Alabama & Arkansas) have both moved up to Division 1 hockey. Which I believe is a step below NCAA hockey, and could pave the way for a Southern Hockey conference?
