I'd say a few things:
Goaltending not elite.
D-Zone coverage. Top d-men not playing like top d-men.
Small team up and down the line up.
Mistakes from bottom 6 forwards and depth defensemen.
Inconsistency from 2 of top 6 forwards.
Lots of factors that are adding up to the team not playing to its potential.
Needs competitors, faceoff winning ability on a 3rd line center that plays 2-way hockey with RH shot, and another LHD in the Kevin Klein mold.
Guys that need to be removed from the roster, mistake prone players with low hockey iq/compete level/too small for their minutes/general bunders
