COUTURIER INJURY http://flyers.nhl.com/club/news.htm?id=876911&navid=DL|PHI|home

COUTURIER OUT 2 WEEKS
Flyers GM Ron Hextall announced that center Sean Couturier will be out for two weeks with an upper body injury.

The announcement comes after the Flyers held an optional practice today at the Verizon Center in Washington in preparation for Game Two.

Couturier left midway through the second period in Thursday’s 2-0 loss to the Capitals in Game 1. He appeared in 9:04 of ice time, 2:47 of which came on the team’s power-play, while recording one shot on goal.

I'm just extremely happy to have Simmer on this team. I wouldn't spend a single second in the presence of a Flyer fan who didn't like the decision he made. I would leave the bar immediately, disgustedly spitting the taste out of my mouth.

They could've played another 60 minutes and the Flyers wouldn't have scored.

Crowd was bad, officating was worse.
And you could tell this was Gostisbehere's first playoff game. Bad showing.

That was a bummer of a game. Knew they needed to bury one in the first; missed chances.

I hope Hakstol or Hextall earns himself a fine tonight. I don't know what was going on in the third, but that was some awful officiating.

Not in trouble until you lose at home and a split is still a possibility... depending on the health of Couturier, obviously.

i wish you guys would stop blaming the officiating. Our first line was absolutely invisible tonight except for Voracek's brain fart. You know you have issues when Gagne is your best offensive player. Schenn was an animal tonight.

Neutered....

Ovechkin also with a key takeout of Coots...this is not looking good. Flyers look overmatched thus far :(

Im really proud of the way they played. Outside of the PP...they played a gutsy game.

I was never on the "they have a shot!" bandwagon...was just hoping to get a strong showing. So far, I cant complain.

I dont even know what to say about that. The NHL should be ashamed of the officiating but i know they wont. Its clear who was supposed to win tonight.

This 100%. Snider would be proud.
