[FIELDSET="QUOTES TO NOTE"]

We’re not looking at the big picture. We’re just playing a game at a time.
We never thought about winning two games here and going back and winning at home. We’ll try to play our best at home and finish there.
I know we have to answer. That wasn’t nearly good enough tonight.
- Derick Brassard

It’s desperation mode for them and the key is to match that. You have to grab every opportunity you get to finish a series.
You can’t just think you have more chances. You’ve got to go for it and match their desperation. It’s tough.
Every game here has been one goal and it’s not going to be easy. We have to.
- Henrik Lundqvist

This has been a very competitive series so far. They’ve all been one-goal games.
That’s what playoff hockey is all about and I’m sure that’s what we’re going to see in the next game, also.
Our focus, our mindset is not going to deviate from the first game of the regular season.
We’ve taken every game one game at a time and that’s what we’re going to do.
- Alain Vigneault

Close it out tonight. Let's get some rest. Let's get some people healthy. Let's start gameplanning for the Islanders or the Caps.

No need to take this series any longer.

60 strong minutes of NYR hockey closes this out easy.

Real contenders don't let inferior teams stay around. We stepped on their throats last game, now its time to finish them.

Get it done boys.

Have a hard time believing the Pens show up for this one. They threw everything they had at us in the 1st period last game and had a 1-0 lead to show for it. Hard to believe they have much left in the tank.

This. Really hope they come out gunning for the jugular.

Hopefully the Pens try to open it up more and it costs them.

I disagree. We came back from 3-1 on them last year so I'm expecting a desperate intensity from them. I hope they don't do anything with intent to injure.

Ill be at the Phillies game tonight :shakehead :help:

Its awesome though because theyre woeful, and as a mets fan, I like that.

I will however be looking for an excuse to leave early.

That's a nice comment in theory but not really all that legitimate in reality. More than ANY other spread, I see game 5 lost by the team up 3-1, no matter who that team is; and quite often they are most definitely still real contenders.

This one works great-for Baseball well for anything really lol:

I have to go home and alphabetize my spice rack.

That usually works for me, haha. If it doesn't work, playoff hockey man. That's all that needs to be said.

Avoid the retaliation penalty calls...the Penguins like the 4 on 4 play and look for it . We need our big guys to lead the charge this evening....Nash/Kreider/Hayes . Kreider could be a key....couple of big early hits could set the tone and cause the Pens depleted D to hurry the puck....force that D as much as possible....that is the way to beat these guys .

If we can get an early goal, they will have no choice but to open up.

Once they start taking chances, we should be able to take advantage

That would be so glorious.

I was watching the Calgary game last night, and I kept thinking, imagine if NYR / PIT series was this style of play. NYR would have 100 goals already. This slow, plodding hockey isn't ideal for them, but they're winning, so that's good.

I'd love to see the Pens open it up a bit. It'd be the first period of the series all over again IMO.
