Yeah, every game is the most important game of the series and Friday is no different. We know they’re going to be coming hard, we’ve got to be ready, we’ve got to be prepared.
I think we did a good job the last game getting it behind their D, but there are things we didn’t do well that we addressed today and going forward we’ll be a lot better.
It’s a must-win for them and we should be treating it as a must-win as well.
- Dan Carcillo

First off, you don’t think about Sunday at all, all our focus is just on Friday and play as good as we can to give ourselves a chance to win this game.
We know they’re going to come hard so we have to prepare for that, we have to be focused and play a smart game.
- Henrik Lundqvist

The playoffs is another season. Maybe Marty sees it as having a clean slate, but I do think prior to the playoffs, even though he wasn’t on the score sheet, he was still contributing.
Like I mentioned many, many times, in different ways and that’s why our record as a team was so good. He’s a big part of our group.
Obviously, his leadership is helping us here as we try to move forward and we expect him to continue to play the way he is right now.
- Alain Vigneault

Look at that.. Nash leads the team in assists and shots and half the fan base still thinks he isn't 'doing enough'

Didn't you know? He has the propensity to play like a noodle.

Yeah they'd rather argue about where he takes his shots from than admit he's been a solid play maker and is opening the ice up for Stepan/MSL.

Given that last point, which is definitely true, I'd still rather reunite Nash with Kreider than keep MSL on the same line with him.

The MSL Nash Stepan line rarely goes to the front of the net. Nash himself enjoys more space and being able to be a perimeter player. Kreider would always open up the space for him by being the guy unafraid to give up his body to park in front of the net.

Splitting MSL and Nash allows both to play to their strengths and also balances the talent on each line, meaning that one of Nash or MSL will always have a mismatch in defensive pairings, not to mention that the Zucc line will certainly be a mismatch for opposing teams playing against their 2nd and 3rd pairings predominantly.

People are upset that he's not scoring goals. I guess if he had 4 goals instead of 4 assists he'd be ok. Or more likely people would ***** that he doesn't have enough assists.

Half the team is being sent to the gallows by the majority of this board. Not just Nash.

Except the Hags-Richards-MSL line never played that well together outside of MSL's first shift.

Maybe:

Kreider-Stepan-MSL
Hagelin-Richards-Nash

would work. Nash and Hagelin have more chemistry than MSL and Hagelin.

Pepper. Pepper. Pepper.
Crash. Crash. Crash.

This is what the rangers need to do in the offensive zone tonight. Yes they usually get a lot of shots on net, but they have to crash the net and get in Mason's face. Get in front of him.

Nash is the only player MSL has shown any chemistry with at ES. For the love of god keep this line together, MSL is rolling right now don't change a thing.

That would be typical HF Board Stuff...

"We don't shoot enough. Take shots from all angles and you never know what happens".
In next breath....
"Shots are not from high quality areas..can't expect to score goals from there"

Boiling this series and game down to it's simplest form.

Ih Hank outplays or plays evenly with Mason we win. We are a better team.
Despite all the posts about us taking out foot off the pedal in Game 2, we had 17 2nd period shots and were stoned by Ray Emery. He outplayed Hank in game #2 and we lost.

Said it in the pre game - this is gonna be a very tough win. Obviously they all are in the playoffs. But the Flyers are at home and in a hole, they will come out on fire.

Henrik has another level he can get to (this is NOT criticism! It speaks to his talent); if he finds it the Rangers will win.

All the quotes comin from the media in Philly, the flyers players all saying they expected the series to be more physical and that it's weird it's not. Excellent! They clearly assumed they could play thee knuckle dragging, sloppy game they play against the pens and it would work.

Our guys need to keep playing smart and fast. Move the puck, play physical but don't let it take over the game. Play with speed, puck possession, smart.
