He had the Stamina but nowhere close to the explosion of McDavid. In the long shift days of hockey all he needed was the stamina though.

Not Mario, not Wayne, not Sid, not Ovy, nobody.

Dude has more explosion left in his tank when he should theoretically be totally gassed than some players have at the start of a shift with fresh legs.

I've seen Ovy play in those years multiple times live let alone on TV. Nobody can do what McDavid does at the tail end of shifts, nobody. I've seen Wayne and Mario in their primes too.

We shouldn't be giving props for taking long shifts. This isn't even out of the ordinary for him & Draisaitl as 2 minute shifts are the norm.
