Galchy's upside is way higher and Montreal has handled him in the worst way possible, honestly the best case scenario for Montreal would be Domi progressing and Galchy regressing and even then....they might be the SAME player. That's how bad this trade is.
However Domi is going into the fire, Galchy is going away from it, there is no reason to believe that will happen. If anything Domi might regress more and Galchy might break out.
What do you consider a breakout season for Galchenyuk? He already hit 56 points and 30 goals when there was no pressure. He has low IQ to go along with bad skating. I don’t think he will hit 70 points unless everything goes right for him.
