I'm curious as Pierre says San Jose still will be involved to save cap and it's not all final yet. I hope San jose doesn't get the 3rd or something, maybe they are getting the 5th or what I'm not sure exactly.

The 5th seems to be around the going rate for retention right now so that makes sense.

Yeah Hawks get 2nd 2021 and 3rd 2022 for their 5th 2022

And Vegas gives a 5th they got from Buffalo to San Jose for some nothing ahler and the retention

So if Vegas wins Cup this 2021 2nd would be pick #63( woud otherwise be pick #64 except that Arizona forfeited its first rounder in 2021 so only 63 picks through 2 rounds....

So# 63 is the worst this 2nd rounder coukd be for us...hopefully Vegas fails to me the Western Cobferenxe Final...then it could be pick #59 or maybe a few spots before that depending in the final standings if Vegas does not get enough points to be #59 shoukd they fail to make the Western Conference Final.

These three way deals have really become a things...

Team one = the seller gets the value
Team two = the 'tweener covers the cap cost, moves minor league contract and gets mid round pick
Team three = the buyer gets target player and minor leaguer

Vegas created this, with the help of Pittsburgh when we're denied a Ryan Reaves trade where the third team just took the cap space, it's a standard deal now!
