For being such an impressive guy Kings fans complain quite often about Muzzin in the main boards. That aside, Muzzin simply hadn't earned an ELC at the time when we had to sign him. By June 2009 he was just a 5th round pick who was meh at everything in the OHL, with a history of back injuries on top of it. Nobody else signed him either so he went back for an overage season, hit 1 point per game out of nowhere (67 points after getting 51 in his first three seasons combined), and won OHL Top Defenseman as a 21 year old. The Kings eventually signed him, but they weren't even the first team he attended camp with. He's an even more extreme case of hindsight than Moulson is.
