He'll definitely get claimed.

It was good while it lasted, Kassassination.

How's his skating? Is he mobile enough to throw hits or just there to fight?

He's a solid skater in a straight line. Not overly mobile laterally, though. He generally won't get into too much trouble on the ice as far as being a complete liability like some heavies but I'm also speaking in relatives here.

Much rather have a guy like Kassian than say a John Scott or something.

Hopefully we find out what Yeo has against Kassian. Kassian could do all the things that Rupp does.

that does nothing for me. there are, you know, bad players with their name on the cup.

Would you argue with "Kassian could do everything that Rupp has done so far."?

Nope.

He's got veteran experience. That's pretty much it.

Rupp may be bad but he will always be remembered for this.

Hey hey hey!

I didn't say he was bad, i just said that having his name on the cup doesn't guarantee he's good.

for the record I suspect he has better hands than Kass, for one thing.

I feel like the Rupp trade was about freeing up a roster spot as much as getting Rupp.

Yeah you are probably right. It had the added benefit of sending a message to the team as well. No message really gets sent if they play Kassian and don't trade for Rupp. Its just that I've seen this GM and past GM's of this team make these trades that basically do nothing.

Glad for Kassian that the move was made. Nothing worse than holding onto a player just because, even knowing that player will never play. That was something Risebrough always did.

With NHL teams always looking for toughness somewhere, wouldn't be surprised to see him claimed, but wouldn't be surprised to see him clear either.
