Some questions to consider:

  1. Do you think his extended time in OKC is a benefit to his development?
  2. Is he currently more suited to play over Ference/Nikitin/Aulie?
  3. In 2-3 seasons will he be above or below Klefbom/Nurse?

1 - It doesn't hurt his development. He's playing tons of minutes and he gets to play on a winning team, which is good for young players.
2 - Ference... I don't know. Niktin and Aulie yeah for sure. Ference has some bad moments in his own zone but he moves the puck around better than Marincin does at this point and he is harder to play against physically.

The latter point in that last sentence is probably the reason why he was sent down. I see Marincin as a bigger version of Kevin Lowe. He isn't elite at anything. He doesn't have a great shot. He just plays well positionally. That's a viable 2nd pairing guy if you ask me.

3- I'm certain that he'll be below Klefbom... probably nurse as well because the organization likes Nurse's style of play.

1. YES, OKC is good
2. YES, he's a smart puck mover with size (useful)
3. Doubtful. Klef and Nurse are potential impact players. Marincin at full potential will be a steadying presence

1. Maybe. He's good enough to be on our team, and imo, would learn more here.

2. See above.

3. Hard to say. His upside is very high. Most likely below Klefa and Nurse.

and of course a Jets fan came in and voted minor leaguer
