Leafs acquire Gerber and alter their good chance of drafting in the top 5.

Also on this day

Dominic Moore to Buffalo for a 2nd round pick.
Nik Antropov to NYR for a 2nd round pick.

Did TOR get the most for these two players?

Hard to imagine getting a 1st for Antropov.

Didn't really turn out to be that historic a sequence of events. They seemed to want B Schenn but got Kadri, and they're the same level of centerman. Don't think they would have drafted OEL, and unless they were falling all the way to Tavares or Hedman, Kane and Duchene really don't matter that much.

Let's say we hadn't gotten Gerber and kept going with our mix of goalies as was.
The other three goalies who had played on the season had approx. a 0.394 win percentage.
Changing Gerber's 0.545 to 0.394 gives the team 4 wins instead of the 6 they actually.
That gives them a season end point total of 77 instead of 81, and puts them drafting 5 instead of 7.
Therefore instead of Kadri we could have had Brayden Schenn or Oliver Ekman-Larsson.

Dominic Moore for 2009 2nd (Jesse Blacker); Jesse Blacker for Peter Holland + Brad Staubitz; Peter Holland for 2018 6th - Staubitz lost to UFA
Nik Antropov for 2009 2nd (Kenny Ryan) - Ryan lost to UFA

So out of those two trades we have an upcoming 6th rounder to show for them
